Disability Badminton Workshop - St Paul's Academy Bristol

As part of Badminton England’s investment into coaches and supporting their development, they are inviting all members of the Badminton England Coach Accreditation Scheme to attend this workshop free of charge. This workshop aims to develop coaches’ knowledge, awareness and confidence to deliver badminton sessions to a range of various impairments disabled participants might have.

On this workshop, you will cover the following areas:

• Understanding movement and hitting for wheelchair badminton.

• Understanding the implications for coaching badminton to disabled participants with standing lower impairments.

• Understanding the implications for coaching badminton to disabled participants with standing upper impairments.

• Understanding the implications for coaching badminton to short stature participants.

It is hoped following this workshop we will work with interested coaches to improve the disability provision across Avon and/or the South West.
